ENJOYMENT FOR THE READER

                                    GOD'S NAME IS EXCELLENT

Psalm 8:9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! By: Evangelist Frank Walker.

Paul never wavered in his faith in the

Lord, and realized that God was supreme

and sovereign. Some of the greatest verses in the Bible

are found in 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 I have

planted, Apollos watered; but God gave

the increase. So then neither is he that

planteth any thing, neither he that watereth;

but God that giveth the increase.

Now he that planteth and he that watereth

are one: and every man shall receive his

own reward according to his own labour.

Paul realized that without the Lord he

couldn’t accomplish anything.

•Confession: But our sufficiency is of God.

Paul continued to express his heart. He

knew that God was his sufficiency. Paul

is stating that God should get all the

glory, as he was not sufficient in himself.

People who think they are sufficient

within themselves leave God out of their

lives. As a result, many people turn to

alcohol, adultery and addictions to help

them through their trials. Many people

also turn to pleasures and worldliness to

bring a calm to their storms. But in the

end, the storm is still there and becomes

even worse. Paul desired God’s strength for the

journey. He had learned to lean fully

upon Jesus and allowed Him to guide his

life. He gave everything to the Lord. How

about you? Have you given everything to

the Lord? Life is tough at times, and during

sunshine and sorrow we must lean

on the Lord and allow Him to work in our

lives. If you don’t know Jesus as your personal

Saviour, confess your sins to Him

right now, and invite Him into your heart.

He will save you and be your best friend

forever. You can’t make it without Christ.
