Pastor Stanley Watson, has served as the senior pastor of the Shalom Christian Fellowship church in Gaffney SC, for the last 20 years. He is a native of Woodruff SC, where he was educated in the woodruff school system. He furthered his education by attending Lees Mcrae Junior college in Banner Elk, NC, where he participated on the school's football team. After two years at Lees Mcrae Junior college, he attended the University of Cincinnati on a football scholarship. After, a brief time there, Pastor Watson was called to preach the gospel in 1980. On May 25, 1980, he preached his initial sermon at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Enoree SC,. Pastor Watson, began his pastorate in November of 1981. Serving four years as pastor of St. Paul Baptist church in Spartanburg SC. He served fourteen years as pastor of New Faith Baptist church in Welford SC. While serving as pastor there, he attended the Mid-Atlantic Bible College in Rock Hill SC. There, he received his master of divinity degree. 

He was called to serve at the Shalom Christian Fellowship Church in September of 2000. He has served faithfully for the past seventeen years. Pastor Watson, has a heart for God's people. One of his favorite saying is "May The Works That I Have Done Speak For Me".   Reverend Watson, is spirit-filled and a Spirit-led man of God. He believes the Bible to be the inerrant, inspired Word of God and clearly preaches with enthusiasm, power and conviction. Great emphasis is placed on bringing people to Christ and equipping God's people for ministry. He believes the church should be "warmer through fellowship, "deeper" through ministry and "larger" through evangelism. Reverend Watson, LOVES his faith, family, and friends.  Pastor Watson, loves his Clemson Tigers, in which he is a sold out fan. For Jesus first, then football.
